AER One is a multifunctional alternating air mattress that supports care providers in preventing their patients or loved ones developing pressure ulcers.
An extremely adaptable system with One pump for three different depth mattresses suitable for low to very high-risk patients in all health care settings.
AER One is a cost-effective solution without any compromise on efficiency or comfort. Engineered to a high specification with features including cell on cell, seat boost, dual therapy and cycle timing. The AER One will enable your setting to achieve the highest standard of care without the premium price tag.
This system is the perfect antidote for pressure ulcer prevention.
Key Features
Seat Boost
When patient's weight is in the sacrum zone, seat boost provides strength and support to accommodate this position.
Cell on cell
Advanced cell on cell technology reduces the risk of the mattress bottoming out.
Square Cells
Square cells for greater comfort, enhanced pressure relief and maximum pressure distribution.
Cycle Timing
Adjustable cycle times allow clinicians to customise alternation therapy and can support a step-down process.
Dual Therapy
Two therapy modes alternating and constant low pressure.
Fully Welded
Fully welded, vapour permeable, water resistant, multi-stretch cover ensuring a breathable environment to aid recovery and rest.
- Full replacement system has a total of twenty 7" square cell on cell air cells.
- Three head end cells are static.
- Cell on cell technology with the sub cell remaining inflated at all times. Thus reducing the risk of 'bottoming out'.
- Cell on cell technology provides assurance as in the event of a power failure the mattress has a sub supportive surface.
- Alternation therapy mode on a 1 in 2 cell cycle. Default cycle time between A and B cells is 10 minutes.
- Time to inflate on initial use approximately 20 minutes.
- Four way multi-stretch polyurethane (PU) cover to reduce shear and friction.
- Fully welded, vapour permeable, water resistant cover.
- Full Replacement Air Mattress 7" (18cm). Low – very high risk.
- BS7175 Crib 5 flame retardant.
- 360 degree concealed zipper for easy removal with PU overhang to stop the ingress of fluids.
- White substrate to quickly indicate strikethrough and contamination.
- Turn CPR for rapid deflation in case of an emergency and prevents accidental deflation.
- Transport mode feature, mattress will stay inflated for up to 12 hours.
- Multiple depths to enable care and pressure relief for all category stages of pressure ulcer prevention and treatment.
- AER One operates with the AER MR, a Foam Mattress Replacement 5” round cells + 2” foam (18cm). Low – high risk.
- AER One operates with Overlay 5" (13cm) Low - medium risk.
- Alternating therapy is the default mode for the AER One pump, continuously over a period of time inflating and deflating air cells to relieve pressure away from vulnerable areas, whilst stimulating blood flow circulation across the entire body.
- Constant Low Pressure (CLP) therapy can be used as an alternative to alternating mode. CLP button must be pressed to activate, equalising pressure throughout all the cells to provide greater immersion, optimum pressure distribution and constant low interface pressure across the mattress surface.
- Weight guide setting, toggle the + or – buttons to increase or decrease to provide the correct pressure within the cells according to patient’s weight.
- Adjustable cycle times allows clinicians to customise the alternation therapy delivered to the patient, which can support a step down process.
- Max inflate, mattress to inflate quickly to its maximum support surface to aid nursing procedures such as repositioning and patient transfers. Max Inflate will be active for 20 minutes, after 20 minutes the pump will revert to its last therapy mode.
- Seat boost mode adjusts the mattress pressures to provide continuous support when the bed is profiled in a seating position. Optimising support on the sacrum area where 75% of the patients’ weight will be insitu, reducing the risk of ‘bottoming out’.
- Unlock feature, the panel will lock out after one minute if buttons are not being activated. Touch unlock button for 3 seconds and the pump will unlock, activating all therapy modes. This feature decreases the risk of people tampering with the pump’s settings.
- Mute button, to mute alarms for low pressure or power shortage. If the problem is not resolved, the pump will re-alarm. The pump will continue to do this process until the issue is fixed.
- Multiple audible and visual alarms warning of low pressure, alternation failure and power failure.
